Grand finale of the DG Oluwole Kukoyi’s Public Speaking Contest between secondary schools in Lagos and Ogun states held at the Rotary Centre on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
 
 
This contest is an initiative of both the District Governor Elect, Rotary International District 1145, United Kingdom, Rtn Tunji Olaleye and the District Governor Nominee, Rotary International District 7080, Canada, Rtn Uche Okugo along with the founder of the Rotary Fellowship of Public Speakers, Past District Governor Bola Oyebade in honour of the pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Dr Oluwole Kukoyi.
 
The contest was formally announced on July 1, 2024 which was the first day of the assumption of office by the pioneer DG.
 
Following the primary stage of the contest after which the top 10 schools were narrowed down to top six by the panel of Evaluators, the grand finale had the final six competing for the trophy.
 
 
The final six schools include Ikotun Grammar School, Airforce Secondary School, Ajibo Grammar School, Adedokun International School, Jobeth School and Alimosho Senior Grammar School.
 
At the end of the keenly contested debate on “How Artificial Intelligence can be Used to Enhance Public Speaking”, Airforce Secondary School came first, Adedokun International School came second while Alimosho Senior Grammar School came third.
 
The grand finale panel of Evaluators was made up of 3 Academic Experts which includes Rtn Boluwatiwi Opaleke, Rtn and Toast Master Enitan Oludeji and leading the team is the Chief Evaluator, Toast Master Craig Esohwode A.K.A The English Doctor.
 
 
The guest speaker was Mr Ibrahim Fatoyinbo, the spouse of Rtn Tayo Fatoyinbo of Rotary Club of Omole Golden.
