On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Prince Henry Akinyele, paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Sulaimon Raji Ashade I, the Oniba Ekun of Iba Land.
The visit was to formally seek the Kabiyesi’s royal blessing and support for the establishment of a new club — Rotary Club of Iba, aimed at expanding Rotary’s service and impact within the community.
In his response, the monarch warmly pledged his full support and commitment to ensuring the successful birth and growth of the club.
The District Governor was joined by the District Governor-Elect, Bukola Bakare; Past District Governor, Omotunde Lawson; New Club Development Chairman, Ben Okhumale; presidents and members of the Rotary Club of Agbara and neighboring Rotary clubs, members of the DG’s core team, district leaders, Rotarians, and Rotaractors.
