The District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Prince Henry Akinyele had his official visit to Rotary Club of Ogba on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
During the visit which had in attendance club members present both in-person and virtually, the United President of the club, Rtn. Franklin Nakpodia appreciated the District Governor for his leadership qualities, passion and dedication to Rotary’s ideal of service above self, noting that the club has carried out several projects in all Rotary International’s seven areas of focus since the inception of the club in June 1983.
The United President who presented the club’s economic empowerment project revealed that the three beneficiaries were carefully selected.
The beneficiaries, Mrs Tabitha Luka, Mr Isiaka Musa, and Mrs Blessing Pius, all petty traders were presented with a cheque of N100, 000 each by the District Governor on behalf of the club.
One new Rotarian was also formally inducted into the club by the DG.
