The District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Prince Henry Akinyele, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, celebrated the top 25 highest donors to The Rotary Foundation in the district this Rotary year.
The donors were treated to a mouthwatering feast, the “World’s Greatest Meal,” held at Zen Garden in Ikeja, Lagos.
The “World’s Greatest Meal” is a fundraising initiative by Rotary International aimed at supporting polio eradication efforts. Funds raised during the event are matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, amplifying the impact of every donation.
Notable donors at the event included Immediate Past District Governor, Dr. Wole Kukoyi and his spouse, Rev. Mrs. Olusola Kukoyi, as well as District Governor Nominee Designate Ade Oyenekan, all of whom made additional contributions to The Rotary Foundation during the event.
The event was put together by the District World’s Greatest Meal Committee, led by the Chairman, Kola Okunola
