The pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Rtn (Dr) Oluwole Kukoyi attended the ‘Feed Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) Students Initiative’ launch as a Special Guest Speaker.
The event which is an initiative of the Office of the 44th YASUG President, Morakinyo Sola was held at the school premises on Thursday, February 20, 2025 in partnership with the Rotary District, and Refuge Network International.
“This is a wonderful initiative because it brings students together and puts food on their table, there is nothing that can be better than that”, said DG Kukoyi while saluting the SUG President for bringing the idea to action.
The programme which was originally targeted at donating food items alone to 2000 students rose to also donating laptops and providing six months health insurance for students living with disabilities.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Alhaji Alaba Olalekan who is also a Rotarian was well represented in the event by the Sub Dean, Engr Morakinyo.
The event was well supported by the Dr Kukoyi in his capacity as the District Governor and also through his hospital- Ace Medicare Clinics.
