

The pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Dr Oluwole Kukoyi earlier today, declared open the 2025 free medical mission on behalf of Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112.

The free medical mission which commenced at the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) Multipurpose Hall in Ikeja, Lagos on Friday, April 4 is a collaboration between Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112 and the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA).
The mission which commenced today will offer medical consultations, capacity training and surgeries/treatment of diverse medical areas which include Pediatrics, dental, mental health among others.



In 2023, the then Rotary District 9110 under the leadership of the then District Governor Omotunde Lawson, FCAI collaborated with the ANPA team to hold the first of its kind free medical mission at Ace Medicare Clinics in Ota, Ogun state. Two years later, a similar outreach has commenced in collaboration with the two offshoots of District 9110- District 9111 under the leadership of pioneer District Governor, Dr. Oluwole Kukoyi and District 9112 under the leadership of pioneer District Governor Olufemi Adenekan.
Speaking at the sideline, the ANPA Mission Chair, Dr Philip Osehobo who arrived in Nigeria with over 100 other medical personnel, revealed that the mission will last till Tuesday, April 8 also. He also disclosed that they hope to reach over 2000 people today.
He added that the medical outreach will hold simultaneously in two different centers- Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Ebute Meta, Lagos and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) as from Saturday, April 5.
Also present was District 9111 Medical Mission Committee Chairman, PAG Dr Oloyede, District 9111 Governor Elect, Prince Henry Akinyele, Past District Governor Omotunde Lawson, FCAI, District Executive Secretary, AG Valentine Shomoye and Chief of Staff to the DG, AG Sylvia Abdalla.
Also present are other Rotarian volunteers and members of the Medical Mission Committee from both Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112.
