A delegation of Rotary leaders from Districts 9111 and 9112 paid a courtesy visit to the Canadian High Commission on the invitation of the Deputy High Commissioner on Tuesday 18 March 2025.

The meeting focused on bilateral issues affecting our respective organizations. In particular, the visa application process for Rotarians wishing to attend the International Convention in Calgary was extensively discussed. While understanding the concerns of the Consular Officers about the huge number of applications for visas, we assured them of the strict screening done by both District Convention Committees to ensure integrity of our organization.
We also had a rich conversation around trade and investment opportunities in both countries.

We promised to provide the robust enabling platform for Rotarians to engage the High Commission on these matters.
The delegation consisted of DG Wole Kukoyi and AG Dayo Niyi Idowu, Convention Committee Chair from D9111, and DES Wilson Esegbedo (representing DG Femi Adenekan) and AKS Dare Adeyeri from D9112.
