
The District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Dr Oluwole Kukoyi on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, received a team of Rotarians from India and United Kingdom.


The visiting Rotarians will be participating in the forthcoming 7 days Mission for Vision outreach, a collaboration between Rotary Districts 9111 and 9112 in partnership with Global Sight Solutions and Global Eye Foundation, which is scheduled to hold from March 16 to March 23, 2025, at the Rotary Eye Hospital in Ota, Ogun state
The visiting team includes Rtn John Miles from Rotary Club of LeatherHead, District 1145, UK, a Trustee of Global Sight Solutions and his spouse; Rtn Dr Sundar Ran Shetty of Global Eye Foundation from Rotary Club of Indiranagra, District 3192, Bangalore; Rtn Dr Ravishankar, a member of Rotary e-Club of Banglore, District 3191 and Prof Kumar Vasanta, also a member of Rotary e-Club of Banglore who serenaded the meeting with a special Indian song.


Rtn Dr Yinka Osoba, from Rotary Club of Yeovil, District 1200, UK who is the lead between Rotary and the other two partnering organizations was also present. Rtn AG Basirat Giwa, an Eye Specialist and a member of Rotary Club of Gbagada, and the coordinator of the project was also present along with Past President Agbe Davies, a member of Rotary Club of Ikoyi.
Present with the District Governor was District Executive Secretary, AG Valentine Shomoye; District Treasurer, PP Adetayo Hassan; Chief of Staff to DG, AG Sylvia Abdalla; Special Assistant to the DG, AG Kunle Adeniran and Personal Assistant to the DG, PAG Abiola Adeshina.
Also present was Irresistible President Juliet Momoh, the President, Rotary Club of Agbara.
