The pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, (Dr) Oluwole Kukoyi on Friday, February 28, 2025 hosted the Head of Mission, Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria, Rtn Andy Yih-Ping Liu at the Rotary Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
The meeting focused on ways Rotary clubs and districts in Nigeria can collaborate with the Trade Office to impact positively in our community.
The team also discussed the 2026 Rotary International Convention which will hold in Taipei, Taiwan while the Taiwan Head of Mission called on Rotarians to leverage on their various VISA programs which include the convention VISA.
The District Governor, using the presentation made to his club- Rotary Club of Ota upon his return, further recounted his experience during his visit to Rotary Club of Taipei in 2013 during which he attended the “Medicare Taiwan” Exhibition.
Rtn Liu who is a Rotarian with Rotary Club of Taipei, Taiwan was received by the DG as well as members of the DG’s core team -the District Executive Secretary, AG Valentine Shomoye, the District Treasurer, PP Adetayo Hassan, the Special Assistant to the DG, AG Kunle Adeniran, and the Personal Assistant to the DG, PAG Adesina Abiola.
