HAPPY NEW YEAR, MY UNITED ROTARIANS
I am overwhelmed with joy to see this day that our Lord has made. That is why we are all rejoicing for a refreshing start of our Rotary journey and service commitment.
My sincere and heartfelt appreciation to our pioneer District Governor, Dr Oluwole Kukoyi for his vision, dedication and service, our highly referred PDGs and indeed all Rotarians and friends of the Rotary family. I also thank all District Officers who have accepted the call and are committed to serving along with me.
Even though our United Year formally kicks off today, July 1, the race actually began some months back with our trainings and inauguration of committees. I commend Rotary’s longstanding tradition of preparing future leaders for the task ahead.
Permit me at this junction to say HAPPY NEW ROTARY YEAR to you all.
The new rotary year begins with new leadership at all rotary strata, but we will not be undoing the past activities or the foundation laid.
We have come with renewed energy to build on the labours of our past heroes. This I also commend to our Club leaders.
We all know the key roles of members in driving and actualizing rotary’s goals. Thus, membership will remain a key focus for us this rotary year. The mantra shall be "One Bring One"
Everyone of us must work together to grow and strengthen our membership.
Rotary’s work through the Rotary Foundation is not only impactful but also unparralled and must be sustained. Hence, the Rotary Foundation will also retain our attention majorly.
The Rotary International President has enjoined us to “Unite for Good”. I equally commend you all to be united for the good of our club, our district and our community.
Let us all work together as a united team in raising funds for our projects and execution of the projects.
Let us all be united to project the image of rotary positively.
On your behalf, I commit this journey and service year to our creator and Almighty God to endow us all with good health and all the wherewithal for a remarkable service year.
