Rotary Club of Abeokuta Prestige, on Monday, November 11, 2024 unveiled Rotary signage at St Michael Anglican Primary School, Kangudu in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The club has also began renovation of 6 classrooms with one toilet in the school.
Unveiling the signage alongside the President of the club, Rtn Mayor Onaolapo earlier today was the pioneer District Governor for Rotary International District 9111, (Dr) Oluwole Kukoyi.
The club president who led the DG along with some other members of the club on a tour around the six classrooms and one toilet building in the school currently being renovated by the club explained the purpose of the club’s intervention in the school.
He revealed that the building had fallen after going through dilapidation, thereby leaving the school students with shortage of classrooms and lack of toilet facility.
The DG commended the club for the Rotary Four Way Test monument placed at a strategic point in front of the school building, describing it as “what rules our world in Rotary”.
He also commended the club for taking up the renovation project while wishing him the wherewithal needed to complete the project.
The School Head Teacher, Mrs Sholanke Abolanle appreciated the Rotary club on behalf of the school.
Representative of the CDA, Mrs Akinyele also appreciated the club for their contribution so far towards giving the school a new while also praying for God’s provision for the club to enable them to complete the renovation.
