
The official visit of the pioneer District Governor to Rotary Club of Egbe led by Irresistible President Gbenga Ibrahim on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 started with the donation of medical items to Primary Health Centre, Aguda.


The DG commended the club for the donation stating that this is what Rotary is now for while congratulating the Centre and charging them to make the items serve the purpose of which they were donated.
The items were received by the Nursing Officer in Charge, Mrs Olatoyin Janet who appreciated the club for the donations as well as previous donations made by the club in the hospital over the years. Also present was Dr Oluwaseyi Oyedokun, the Supervising Officer for Health, members of the community.

The club also donated a sum of N1million Naira towards the kidney treatment of 22 years old Ayomide Aboaba, a final year Accounting student of Lagos State University. Ayomide is son of Rtn Ayoola Aboaba who is also a member of the club.
In addition to the cash donation by the club, the DG donated an additional sum of N500, 000 towards the treatment, making it a sum of N1.5million in total.
Rtn Aboaba who received the cheque alongside his son and spouse, Inner Wheel Member Olabisi could not contain his joy as he revealed that Ayomide’s kidney issue started in 2018 when he was 15 years old and since then, the family has been struggling to gather the required fund for his treatment
The District Governor was accompanied on the visit by the District Executive Secretary, AG Valentine Shomoye, the District Treasurer, PP Adetayo Hassan, and the Special Assistant to the DG, PAG Valentine Shomoye.
