
The official visit of the District Governor, Rtn Bukola Bakare, to Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, led by the Impact President, Rtn Oswald Ikegbulam held on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

As part of the visit, the club led the District Governor to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos, where, in partnership with The Dorcas Cancer Foundation, they donated essential consumables to pediatric cancer patients, bringing hope and comfort to children undergoing treatment.
Speaking during the outreach, Mr. Korede Akindele, Chief Operating Officer of The Dorcas Cancer Foundation, commended the partnership and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to collaborating with Rotary in supporting children battling cancer and improving their quality of care.
In her remarks, District Governor Rtn Bukola Bakare applauded the impactful initiative and assured the foundation of Rotary District 9111’s continued support. She disclosed that the district would further sustain the project through proceeds from an endowment fund to be established in the name of the club, ensuring long-term support for pediatric cancer patients.

The visit also featured a major economic empowerment initiative as the club disbursed ₦10 million in microcredit to 25 beneficiaries, helping to strengthen small businesses, promote financial independence, and create lasting impact within the community.
