

Rotary Club of Egbe Gives Clean Water to Bolorunpelu Community, Empowers Indigent People


Rotary Club of Egbe under the leadership of United President Nneka Anaemena has just unveiled a potable water facility donated by the club to Bolorunpelu Community in Egbe, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The water facility which is situated in Adewusi Street was officially commissioned by the District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Prince Henry Akinyele during his official visit to the club on Sunday, October 5, 2025.



The Club President while giving her speech, stated that the club is committed to touching lives through impactful and sustainable service projects. “Today, we are proud to commission a water bore hole project in a community had no access to clean water, a project that brings hope, health, and dognity”, she said.
The District Governor in his remarks, commended the club for such a laudable project which is in line with Rotary’s Area of Focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment. He however charged members of the community to ensure the water facility is well maintained.





Also witnessing the exercise was the Baale of Bolorunpelu Land, Chief Sanni Abdul Lateef Babatunde who could not contain his joy as he continuously prayed for the Rotarians while appreciating them immensely.


The club also empowered some indigent people in the community. While two women were given two grinding machines and one given sewing machine, one physically challenged was given a wheel chair.
