Rotary Club of Greenfield, district 9111 has laid the foundation stone for a block of classrooms and Staff room project in Police Children School in Okota, Lagos.

This exercise which took place on Thursday, August 28, 2025 signifies the commencement of this huge service project by the club under the leadership of the Club President, Rtn Bonny Ogirri.
 
The District Governor, Rtn. (Prince) Henry Akinyele who was on his official visit to the club also participated in the exercise. He charged the club to ensure the building is completed and commissioned before the end of this 2025-26 Rotary year.

The Club President revealed that the building project came about when the club members unanimously decided this Rotary year, to erect something more durable that will outlive members of the club, other than the renovations that have been carried out by the club in the premises before now.
He assured the DG that the project will be completed in the six months' time, and this was supported by the Immediate Past President of the club, Rtn. Nnanna Achiugo and other members of the club present.

Also participating in the exercise was Past District Governor Omotunde Lawson who has been a support system to the club, the Assistant Governor to the club, Rtn George Ikpekhia and the first female president of the club.

Mrs Alegbeleye Mercy Taiwo, the Zonal Director of Lagos and Ogun States, Nigeria Police Force Education Unit who also participated in the exercise alongside Mrs Salako Adenike, Head Teacher of the school, appreciated the club for its support towards education while promising to spread the good news of Rotary and encourage her colleagues to join the club.
