Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate under the leadership of United President, Rtn. Pavin Kumar has sponsored the planting of 500 coconut trees across Lagos State.
 
 
According to the club’s Project Coordinator, Rtn. Ramesh Mallick(PHF), this massive tree “planting project is not just about planting trees for a greener and more sustainable Lagos but planting a legacy that will provide safe and environmental protection for generations to come.
 
The District Governor Nominee for Rotary International District 9111, Rtn Samuel Ayetutu who ably represented the District Governor, Prince Henry Akinyele during the tree planting and distribution exercise at the Rotary Centre on Thursday, April 30, 2026 commended the club for such huge contributions to environmental sustainability which is one of Rotary’s area of focus.
 
 
Also present was the District Governor of Rotary International District 9112, Rtn Lanre Adedoyin who also applauded the initiative.
The coconut seedlings which were funded by Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove Estate were distributed to Rotary clubs in the two districts for planting in their various communities.
 
 
Participating in the exercise was a team from Lagos State Coconut Development Authority led by the General Manager, Mrs Ola Olajumoke.
The Chief of Staff to Rotary District 9111 District Governor, Rtn Busola Satuyi was also present with the Chairman of Supporting the Environment Committee for Rotary District 9112, Rtn OC Bada.
