Rotary Club of Obantoko, District 9111 under the leadership of the United President, Rtn. Iyabo Omotoke Ilesanmi has commenced its key project for the 2025-26 Rotary year which is building of a toilet and water facility in St Michael Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Obantoko, Ogun State.

The groundbreaking exercise for the building was carried out during the visit of the District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Prince Henry Akinyele to the club on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The club president while presenting the project to the District Governor, stated that she felt very bad after visiting the school months back and seeing that the school has no proper toilet or clean water facility.

There and then, she decided to take up the project as her key project for this 2025-26 Rotary year.

The District Governor commended the club for such a huge project, having to build such toilet facility from the scratch in addition to providing a bore hole water facility too. He noted that this project does not only cover Rotary's Area of Focus on Basic Education and Literacy but also covers Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

The Head Teacher of the School, Mrs Saliu Titilayo appreciated the Rotary club for their timely intervention, stating that the club has not only come to the aid of the students but also the teachers.
