
The Rotary Club of Omole Golden has just donated delivery packs to pregnant women in Ifako-ijaiye General Hospital in Lagos state, Nigeria.


The club under the leadership of the Club President, Rtn. Jide Ogunleye leveraged on the official visit of the Pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Rtn. Dr. Wole Kukoyi to the club on Friday, July 19, 2024 to carry out the donation exercise at the Neonatal Clinic in the hospital which was built and equipped by the club few years back.


The donation exercise which has become an annual practice by the club was carried out in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Omole Golden led by the Rotaract President, Rotaractor Emmanuel Victor. A total of 120 delivery packs with delivery kits were distributed to the women. While the Rotary club donated 100 bags, the Rotaract Club donated 20 bags. An anti-natal health talk was also organized by the club for the pregnant women in the hospital.



The District Governor who was accompanied on the visit by members of his core team and his spouse, Rev. Mrs Olusola commended the club for the Neonatal Clinic built by the club, describing it as a “historic achievement”. He also commended the club for always supporting pregnant women in the hospital with delivery kits, while wishing the women safe delivery.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Ikechukwu Annabel thanked the club on behalf of the other beneficiaries, revealing that the delivery pack came very timely for her as she is yet to get any. Dr Babalola Castano who spoke on behalf of the Medical Director of the Hospital appreciated the club for its numerous donations to the hospital and its patients over the years.
