Rotary Club of Opebi has just empowered petty traders from Oba Ogunji Community Corps, a Rotary Community Corps formed by the club in Oba Ogunji Mechanic Village.
A sum of N500,000 was presented to 10 petty traders at N50,000 as no interest micro credit loan on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The micro credit grant is an annual empowerment program of the club which has lasted for over five years now.
The grant was presented by the District Governor alongside the Club President, Ademuyiwa Oremosu as well as other members of the club.
Also present at the visit was the charter member, Past President Olalekan Adeyinka; a Major Donor of The Rotary Foundation, along with two other senior Rotarians in the club, Past President Nasiru Adiro and Past President Oremosu Mabayanje, father of the Club President.
We also celebrated PP Adeyinka whose birthday coincidentally happened to be that same yesterday with special birthday songs.
Appreciation awards were presented to outstanding members of the club by the DG on behalf of the club.
