In commemoration of Global Recycling Day 2026, the Support Our Environment Committee of Rotary International District 9111, in collaboration with Rotary clubs across the district, has taken a proactive step towards safeguarding our environment.
As part of this initiative, recycling bins were distributed to participating clubs for onward donation to health centres and schools, promoting proper waste management and encouraging a culture of recycling within our communities.
The bins were formally presented on Tuesday, March 24, by the District Governor, Prince Henry Akinyele, alongside Rtn Benjamin Dare, who represented the Committee Chairman, Rtn Samuel Adenekan.
Also in attendance was District Governor Nominee Designate, Rtn Ade Oyenekan, and members of the Support Our Environment Committee.
