The ultra-modern Rotary Sickle Cell Centre built, fully equipped and commissioned at the State Hospital in Ota, Ogun state on Saturday, June 28, 2025 under the visionary and pioneer leadership of the Immediate Past District Governor, Dr. Oluwole Kukoyi has been officially handed over.
THE facility was presented by the District Governor, Rtn. (Prince) Henry Akinyele to the hospital management, led by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ero-Phillips Akinsola in a formal hand-over ceremony on Monday, February 9, 2026.
While presenting the centre, the District Governor emphasized the importance of proper management, ownership, and long-term sustainability to ensure the facility continues to serve patients living with sickle cell disorder and the wider community effectively.
