

Rotary International District 9111 continues to raise the bar in the fight polio. After a symbolic train ride from Lagos to Abeokuta and a flag hoisting atop Olumo Rock, the District took its Polio Awareness Campaign right to the heart of the bustling Oshodi Market in Lagos.
Led by District Governor Rtn (Prince) Henry Akinyele, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, the Rotary district team, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, engaged traders and community leaders, spreading awareness on the importance of polio vaccination for children under five.
Mrs. Olaide Ojetokun, Secretary to the Iya Oloja General (Chief Mrs. Sikirat Ejide Adeyanju), was honored as a Rotary Polio Ambassador for her dedication to humanitarian service.
Mrs. Adeyemi Funmilayo, Immunization Officer of Oshodi/Isolo LGA (representing Dr. Osinachi Ubani), educated the market men women on why every child deserves protection through vaccination.
Present at the event was Rtn Ogundipe Stephen, President, Rotary Club of Ewutuntun & State House of Reps Member (Oshodi-Isolo Constituency).
