The pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, Rtn (Dr) Oluwole Kukoyi on Sunday, October 1, 2025, hosted Rotarian elders in the district to a special lunch event in commemoration of International Day of Older persons.
The historic event which happens to be the first of its kind in the district brought together Rotary from the various clubs in the district across Lagos and Ogun states who are 70 years and above and their spouses. Members and Irresistible presidents of the Rotary clubs the elders belong to were also present.
The elders were specially celebrated by the District Governor and everyone present. Certificates of appreciation and gifts were also presented to them. They were also given the opportunity to narrate their Rotary experiences.
