District Governor, Rtn. Dr. Wole Kukoyi on Wednesday, July 10 hosted the inbound friendship exchange Rotarians from Districts 9213 and 9214, Uganda and Tanzania led by Past District Governor Kenneth Mugisha, a member of Rotary Club of Muyenga, District 9214.
It was a farewell ceremony as the team are set to leave Nigeria back to their base after an eventful stay.
The visiting Rotarians while narrating their experiences, expressed satisfaction at the warm reception they received from their host families who treated them as family.
They also appreciated members of the District 9111 Friendship Exchange Committee led by Past Assistant Governor Ben Okhumale for making their stay adventurous having taken them on memorable trips from Lagos to Abeokuta in Ogun state to Olumo rock to the good food, music, among other fun activities, as well as the clothing they received as gifts.
The District Governor’s spouse, Rev. Mrs Olusola who was also present to bid farewell to the visiting Rotarians gave them a specially designed customized cup each. Past District Governor Omotunde Lawson and her spouse, the spouse of Past District Governor Dele Balogun, as well as Past Assistant Governor Mike Ogunwale were also present as part of the host families.
Gifts were also presented to the visiting Rotarians by the DG and his spouse, their host families and the committee with other clothing gifts to be delivered to District Governors of Districts 9213 and 9214 in preparation for the return exchange visit by District 9111.
