Rotary Clubs of Akowonjo, Ikeja South, Okota, Lagos Palm Grove Estate, and Isolo organized a one-day seminar to commemorate the ‘Basic Education and Literacy’ month.
The seminar which was held on Friday, September 27, 2024, brought together 12 Interact clubs sponsored by the host Rotary clubs.
The students had a very interactive and insightful session with the Guest speaker, Princess Olamide Thompson-Odeneye who spoke on the topic “Staying in the Loop, Not in Trouble: Online Safety Tips”.
Representing the pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9111, (Dr) Oluwole Kukoyi was the District Executive Secretary, AG Valentine Shomoye.
The Irresistible Presidents of the host clubs- Rtn Ben Dare of RC Akowonjo, Rtn Bolatito Olaboye of RC Ikeja South, Rtn Nafiu Okunade of RC Okota, Rtn Omoye Evbota of RC Lagos Palm Grove Estate and Rtn Tokunbo Alison of RC Isolo were all present.
At the end of the seminar, the first three most punctual interact clubs were rewarded with gifts.
Interact Club of Holy Savious College, Isolo was the first to arrive the venue, Interact Club of Ijeshatedo was the second to arrive, while Interact Club of Isheri Senior Grammar School was the third to arrive.
