Sometimes, one act of kindness is all it takes to restore hope, rebuild dreams, and change a life forever.

During her official visit to the Rotary Club of Okota, the District Governor of Rotary International District 9111, Rtn Bukola Bakare, witnessed an emotional moment she would not forget in a hurry. Mr Seun Okeowo, a tailor striving to get back on his feet, broke down in tears of joy after receiving a sewing machine.

Deeply moved by his emotions, the compassionate DG promised to support him with an additional stoning machine to help expand his tailoring business.

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, that promise became reality as Mr Okeowo received the stoning machine at the Rotary Centre. But the story didn’t end there!

With renewed hope and determination, Mr Okeowo revealed his dream of opening his own shop by January. In response, DG Bukola Bakare further assured him of her support towards making that dream a reality.

This is more than the gift of machines; it is the gift of hope, dignity, and a fresh start. From tears of joy to dreams of business ownership, one compassionate gesture is helping a man see a brighter future.

This is what it means to Create Lasting Impact, touching lives, restoring hope, and empowering people to rise again.

Because in Rotary, we don’t just give; we help people rebuild their lives.
