
Rotary District 9111, in collaboration with Providus Bank and Ado-Odo community is planning big on planting of trees as a way of conserving life.
In a very commendable move, Ado-Odo in Ogun State, through the efforts and influence of prominent and respected sons of the town, PAG Dr. Leke Ibrahim and PP Jimoh Alade made available 6 acres of land for this laudable project.
During the facilitation visit to the town, Providus Bank unveiled the plan for the planting exercise. 600 dwarf coconut trees will be planted latest by mid-September on the 6-acre piece of land. 550 of trees will be planted immediately while the remaining 50 will be reserved for ceremonial planting on the commissioning day.
The Oba-in-Council, PAG Leke Ibrahim, PP Jimoh Alade (both from Rotary Club of Ota), PP Gani Abogunloko (Rotary Club of Ijoko and main link to the Bank), Olasubomi Ashiru representing ProvidusBank), Sola Kolawole representing the planter later took a tour of the extent of the land.
The Ado-Odo people expressed their extreme gratitude to the district for the opportunity.
