The pioneer District Governor of the new Rotary International District 9111, Rtn. Dr. Wole Kukoyi’s first day in office started with a church service held at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church in Ikeja to usher in the new Rotary year and new district.
Present were District Governor Elect, Rotary International, District 9111, Rtn. Henry Akinyele and District Governor Nominee, Rtn. Bukola Bakare, Past District 9110 Governors, spouse of the DG, Rev. Olusola and two of his children, as well as some other district leaders and Rotarians.
Following the church service, the team of Rotarians proceeded to the Rotary Centre for a tour around the facility where the District Governor presented a customized collarette specially designed for the new Rotaract District 9111 to the Rotaract District Representative, Rtr Saka Oriyomi.
Also present were future Governors of District 9111, Past Governors? of District 9110, as well as friends and family, as well as the District Rotaract Representative, Saka Oriyomi.
